i want to make sure i live a life where i never get used to the extraordinary events that happen in my every day life, that overtime start to feel rather ordinary. Exchanging a smile with a kid, hugging my grandparents, hearing the birds chirp. The delicate touch of someone you really love. We can easily get so used to being alive we miss out in absorbing every experience. I cry easily and often, not necessarily because i’m melancholy. But rather because being alive deserves to be felt at it’s highest form of intensity. Once we learn to expose our being without constant fear of rejection from ourselves and others, We realize we don’t have to be a product of what other people want us to be in order to fulfill a certain void to become something more constantly. We will find the meaning of what it really means to be alive; In the smallest things. The small intricate moments that knit our lives together.

to the minors who follow me:

if anyone significantly older than you approaches you on the internet or in real life in a romantic or sexual way, do. not. communicate with them. the second it becomes anything other than respectful or friendly in any way or if they make you even slightly uncomfortable, block. them. cut them out of your life. they are not worth it and they will hurt you. run. protect yourself. and be safe.

nightlyquotes:

“You can never really go back to the same waters. Not only are you no longer the same, but neither are the waters you left. The current has changed. The elements of nature have affected the stream. When you return, although it appears the same, it really is a different river and you are a different person. Therefore, you cannot cross the same river twice.”

It’s okay to be angry, sad or whatever else and think it’s not fair you have to work so hard to heal for what someone else did to you. Because it isn’t fair. And you’re allowed to stop and feel that sometimes. It is not fair that healing is now your responsibility and it’s okay to have feelings about that.

Crying is a totally healthy coping mechanism to let the stress out. Don’t be afraid to cry. Don’t be ashamed. Humans cry and it is in their nature.

I Will Not Be Eaten

Girl. Yes.

The voices of little girls are so powerful and profound because they haven’t yet been completely eaten away at by social conditioning.

“I am a rich pie filled with knowledge. I will not be eaten.” Holy fuck my new motto.

Transcription (with original line breaks):

The true feminine

I am not sugar and
spice and everything nice.
I am music, I am art.
I am a story. I am a
church bell, gonging out wrongs
and rights and normal nights.
I was baby. I am child. I will
be mother. I don’t mind being
considered beautiful, I do not
allow that to be my
definition. I am a rich
pie strong with knowledge. I
will not be eaten.

i’m not kidding, this poem shook me to my core. it inspired me more than any famous poet in the past few months. this little girl is going to influence the world in such a beautiful way.

little girls are gonna rule the goddamn world

If we protect them and amplify their voices, yes. Likely not otherwise. We were all little girls once, most of us wild, and yet we don’t rule the world. If we want girls like this to do so, we can’t let them be beaten down.
